It will be fine with a T piece , I ran one like that for ages until I found a proper bottle with 2 pipes on it

The heritage car is not perfect , but it is very very nice and about as good as you are going to find these days

The gauge looks tapered thread which should be 1/8 npt I think , would be easier to just re tap the hole in the rail rather than finding and fitting adapters
