Ha, yes it went for more than I was expecting to be honest! The strange thing is, the bloke who bought it didnt even see the car! He bidded on it, and sent a transport firm from CARLISLE to get it! ... |

Well, my starting issue has to be something electrical. When the engine is cold, if i unplug the coolant temp sensor, it starts straight up, but i measured the resistance on the sensor and it is ok.

I succesfully got it to start straight up today. I disconnected the plug on the water temperature sensor on the back of the head.
I assume this means, that its faulty. I have a spare used sensor ... |

I suspect the turbo is making it run hot? They do run hot anyway, have you got antifreeze in it or just water?

I have changed the distributor, but for another used one that ive got, and it was still the same, surely two dizzys couldnt be faulty? It does have a good spark though.

Hi mate, I did the xe on carbs route a couple years back. Because carbs only have a feed and no return to the tank youve got to blank the return off, and install something like a facet fuel pump.
