Guys i have for sale my never ending project (lack of patience), shell started its life as a 1.3 3 door hatch.
at the moment its a bare shell with the engine and gearbox fitted and working. from a structural point of view the shell is solid, i mean solid, the engine bay has been seam welded although the previous owner of the shell used the wrong paint so you have surface rust over the areas where it has been welded. it is only just surface rust and with a light rub it all comes away.

the rear arches are in excellent condition with no rot or rust, the inner floor is in excellent condition, the sills have surface rust but no rot, the inner wings are solid, no rot whatsoever.

the car will definitely need a complete new front panel, and the rear lower corners of the valance need cutting out and replacing which i have the corners for.

other than those bits i have two mint doors professionally de-locked and the tailgate, bonnet and wings are mint too.

the car has a 16v rear beam, 16v callipers and discs at front, a low millage c20let that starts up and sounds beautiful with f28 gearbox that doesn't crunch at all,

it is lowered by 60mm with spax shockers and springs all round.

there you go guys in a nutshell that's my project, with a front panel the rear lower valance ends and a rub down to bare metal you'll have yourself a mint mk1 Astra turbo.

Regards pictures well I've maid a couple of videos but only got to do one side as where the car is parked we couldn't roll it out as there was a car behind us that we couldn't move at the time. For those that may wonder I can assure you the other side is once again solid.

I will be looking for offers around £2200 mark for everything including a complete mint gte interior with a calibra 16v steering wheel, complete gte kit loads of mint door cards all the rubber seals for doors and tailgate, and other bits, this includes the c20let and f28 gearbox

I knew as soon as I saw this post their would be some comments on the price, why do people always seem quick to kick down the value of a mk1 Confused

jo4nny8 what can i say, honestly if i had the time and a garage id do all the work myself, a front panel a drill with a a wire brush and loads spare id take it to bare metal and spray the car, itll be lovely .. i would have thought 2200 considering the engine alone is in top working order is a fare price.. but once again i would like what it owes me.. its all there for a conversion... putting it back together is a daunting task lol i just havent got the time, ive got my final hand in for uni march 31st preasure really is on..

I agree it read to me like it comes complete, if it was just a shell he wouldn't of put rear beam, engine etc.

Ok Guys as there hasnt been much interest probably due to the high price and work that needs doing, it has given me some thinking time, ive just got myself a calibra turbo shell with the 4x4 running gear, just placed an order for loads of genuine gm panels and bit from opel ebay germany and gona start the project next week.. ill be keeping a photo diary for those that may wish to do a similary conversion...

cheers guys Very Happy
