mark,
have driven both the salon and estate versions when chauffering
once the punters were dropped at there locations i used to point it in the direction i wanted to go and woooosssshhhhhhhhh it was like a rocket.
handled very well and very responsive.
dashboard like and aircraft cockpit.
only down side was that they really chew up the back tyres quickly even though they are front wheel drive.
for that money i would be tempted.
cheers aubs _________________ K15 AUB now on my vectra....... |

i am but it`s got a sniff of ex cop car to it or at least a police connection, the guy selling user name is tulliallancastle which is the scottish police college i.e the equivelent of london`s hendon plus looking through his items for sale he has model vintage cop cars for sale.
it may just be he is a copper or ex copper then that`s a bonus or is just a police enthuasist and likes driving what he is was used to at work, who knows i have asked a load of questions and will find out soon enough.
insurance is cheap i got a qoute of £320 fully comp for myself and the missus with no bonus.
just an idea for a weekend toy as the valver is now sold
i`ve been reading they are 225 bhp in standard form and with just a simple chip upgrade are instantly transformed to 305 bhp |

hmmmm i knew this had a whiff of bacon to it.from his reply it would suggest the seller is a copper or works/involved with the police i.e he states from experience of police car servicing in his email
but all isn`t doom and gloom it is an ex cop car but it was never in active police service,it has never had airiels, stickers, light bars, radio, sirens etc fitted to it and is as straight as a die with no nasty holes in it etc as it was used by the traffic police driver training dept and remained unmarked and there is a letter from the police confirming the brand new engine and it`s history with them.
it left police service in 2000 and since then every recipt and mot has been kept to keep up it`s history record from leaving the police,it`s only 17 miles away so i may pop up for a nosey and a proper chat |

I wouldn't stop anyway, and besides, I'm way ahead of the game
T5's are quick enough, the wheelspin is f**king horrendous, if you took a few mates out in it when you got it for example, and say it's wet and you're trying to boot it and pull away onto a roundabout they will think it's sh$t mate (and probably, so will you). They're alright when it's dry but they absolutely chew tyres. Engines are a bit harsh and nasty IMO and I think I remember they can have cooling problems when they've been chipped to raise the boost and fuelling, I think maybe the head gaskets are prone to going as well or the heads cracking or something, but I can't be 100% sure.
If it's a police car then it will have been properly maintained for sure. Throw in the fact it's not covered with holes and it sounds like a good buy.
Find out what it's been used FOR - chauffeuring the chief cuntstable about, or chasing muppets in stolen cars and nerfing them off the road, before having the pained faces of those dragged from its smouldering remains smashed at great velocity into its bonnet, for example. Give you an idea of condition, know what I mean? _________________

Whoa! Either you're my kind of chauffeur or you carted unusually fat punters about, 5 up.

Why wait? Why not simply put your foot through the window and leave the cash where
the gap is in the display
I'm sure he'll understand if he's your mate and that _________________

lol yeah i`m sure he wouldn`t mind at all
i`m sure once he returns from his villa in the sun ( lucky twat ) he`ll give me a stonking deal, usually cost price for cash as he did when i fitted my kitchen out with all the appliances but he does use alot of taxi`s so the favour is always returned by giving good discounts on his fares,i just went for a nosey today to see the difference between plasma or lcd and i`ve decided the plasma route isn`t for me after hearing some honest opinions from the sales guys and with the motorised satellite system i`ll be able to recieve high defination signals on this lcd set from european satellites and the like as the u.k is not recieving this signal yet but sky is shortly to be transmitting it, the sales guy showed me the difference between h.d and normal and it is night and day honestly
here is one i`m considering and will probably go for
http://www.jvc.co.uk/product.php?id=LT-37DM6BJ&catid=100088&lid=
or this
http://www.jvc.co.uk/product.php?id=LT-37DS6FJ
i`m not going for the hanging on the wall route like a picture though as i`d get a sore neck lying on the couch watching it,so i`ll get the glass corner stand and put it where a t.v should go |

plasma`s burn out mate and over time the brightness and colour starts to go,i`m told all future t.v technology is being aimed more at lcd rather than plasma due to the extremely high costs of the gas and the high voltages involved in running the t.v although admittedly it has a slightly better picture quality but will deterioate over time, that jvc model above has won loads of awards apperantly,so i think i`ll give it a go
lee you have a plasma havn`t you, what`s your opinion plasma or lcd? |

Both LCD TVs and plasma TVs are thin as you could hope for. In screen size plasmas usually run larger though don’t usually come in smaller sizes, which is sometimes needed. Viewing Angle: Plasma have a wider viewing angle. Life Span: Both have good lifespan. Issues: Plasma sometimes suffer from “burn in†effect. LCD TVs are sometimes susceptible to a delay that causes the outline of figures or objects to appear jagged. Color: LCD TVs are renowned for a sharp picture and vibrant color. Plasma TVs are known for a wide range of colors and accurate color reproduction. Brightness: LCD TVs are said to do slightly better in bright-light conditions. Black Levels: Plasma TVs generally produce very black blacks whereas an LCD TV will produce a very dark charcoal gray. Contrast Levels: Plasma TVs, technically, are said to have greater contrast levels. Cost: Prices for both types of TVs are decreasing rapidly. _________________
