Gary - The engine in your car is pretty much standard. When I took it to Courtenays I asked them as they know the engine well because an ex employee of theirs used to own it. It's got a double head gasket and Courtenay cams but NOT uprated pistons or ARP bolts etc etc etc. Be VERY careful with it. It's a 10 year old engine and certainly for the last 4 or 5, it's had the pants thrashed off it big time.

My advice would be, if you can, get the engine out over the winter and strip it right down then put it back together with as many 'uprated' bits as you can.

Yes, change the fuel pump and according to PTS when I last had it there, that should enable you to up the boost to around 20psi.
And the Charge Cooler pump is brand new, you'll see it on that bill I paid for over £1200 Shocked Shocked

Gary, as Jay says to get that kind of power and to be reliable then you need to get the internals sorted out and thats not all that cheap.

I know that jason's ain't standard and will be able to take the 300 easy smile

Best idea is to do what Lee said, take it off the road and rebuild the engine, might as well do it with some aftermarket stuff (they'd be cheaper anyway) and you could boost power above what Jay has (think 400bhp)

Ignore Jay as he's a big wuss. The cooling you have is ok, only uprate the intercooler if you go for the big numbers
