Looks like Fun!!

http://www.scumball.co.uk/home.html

1000 miles in 1000 minutes, in a £1000 car?

Rules are short, sweet and simple:
1. Vehicles entered for the Scumball should be worth no more than £1000 (That's one thousand UK pounds.) - If you have any doubts as to whether your vehicle is of an acceptable standard, check with us on the Forum and we'll give you a good idea. - As a general guide: If your car is eligible, then you'd accept an offer of £1000 to sell it... We're not oppressive tyrants, though. If you're in the spirit of things and the car is borderline, we'll pass it. Organiser's discretion is final; If we think you're trying to pull a fast one, you won't be coming. We don't want fast ones. - We want rusty ones with coolant issues!

Details of the car and modifications can be supplied when you fill in your application form.

2. Fee includes, but is not limited to: Hotel stopover in the UK before morning departure; Ferry Crossing to/from Europe; Hotel Stops in Europe; 6 laps of the Nurburgring; Possibly breakfast and an evening meal if we can get the hoteliers to agree! Oh, and the DVD of course.

3. It's not a race. It's a mobile party.

4. Passengers ride for free, your entry fee covers two people in a car, sharing hotel rooms. - If we can only get double rooms, you're head-to-toeing. - If you want posh rooms with seperate beds, ask nicely.

5. Cars may be sponsored, liveried, non-standard and/or driven by nutcases in fancy dress. This is at entrant's discretion and Organisers take no responsibility for the actions and conduct of drivers and passengers. - You will be liable for your car, driving licence and anything you damage or break during stopovers and crossings.

6. Cars MUST be road legal. Remember to put stickers on your headlights so you don't blind our European friends on the wrong side of the road and carry your documents with you. The Gendarmé have ways of making you walk.

7. Put a Fire Extinguisher in the car, bring a helmet if you think you're a Ring-Meister... The Nordschliefe bites, and it's up to you to replace any Armco you damage. It's expensive!

8. Nurburgring officials have been known to refuse entry to cars if they pose a safety risk on the track. - We cannot be responsible for these 3rd parties, so please, please, please check your car thoroughly for any leaks or mechanical defects that might endanger your chance to get on-track. You would be gutted.
