Richard Burns, former World Rally Champion driver, has died due to the brain tumour which forced him out of rallying in dramatic style (passed out driving along, saved by Marko Martin).
I've always been a big fan of rallying (better than the boredom of F1) and Ricky Burnup vs Crasher McRae was always a classic thing. |

I knew he'd been very ill, but I didn't know it was that bad.
This is far worse than George Best dying..... |

It has been a bit of a tradgic week all in all, I was watching the news all blearly eyed this morning trying to recover from mourning the worlds best drinker when I heard about Burns. It'll be a sad loss to Rallying, truly a team player and a great driver. _________________ The most hip hop mofo to ever come out of Halifax.....Jam Master Jay in d house!!! |

holy sh1t this is very sad,he managed to get to rally day this year with his girlfriend as all of his former rally cars were there driven by the likes of colin etc as a tribute to him, colin and richard, robbie head etc are all close friends having holidayed together etc in the past,a sad,sad loss to rallying just like micheal park and alan barr to many deaths in the sport this year to real genuinely nice guys.

Terrible news, he was a star. I thought he was recovering after Coombe and very shocked to hear he has passed away, the only English World Champion. |

rally day at coombe was his farewell to his fans but who would have known how real a meaning that would have folks just thought it was him admitting he would never be back in wrc, very sad indeed and yet the fookin news is riddled with news of a 59 year old drunk who has wasted his life since his fame and such a young guy with a promising career is virtually forgotten,sh1te i tell you and i hope no george best fans are offended by this but i`m sure they will see exactly where i`m coming from with this |

Yopu are dealing with 2 different kinds of people Mark.
George was a Genius, and as usual the Genius's of our time are usually flawed in some way or another. Actually no different to any other time. _________________ The most hip hop mofo to ever come out of Halifax.....Jam Master Jay in d house!!! |
