Anyone done it? Bought a car and towed it back on a trailer? What s the likely overall cost to re-register it and pay the import duties? What sort of percentage has to be paid? _________________

I know a bloke who comes over quite often and gets ascona's, manta's, Kadett C's. He brought my Kadett over from Lancaster to Germany for me.
It would be cheaper in the long run to use him imo. Not sure about import tax. Surely you just register it as we're in Europe? |

How's trix Russ, just looking at the Astra in your build thread. Looking real nice. I'd have another mk1 but my first motor was a C Coupe so thats what I want. Any chance you can find out from him for me whats involved price wise. Then I'd need to find a german ebayer with a coupe who would allow UK bids etc.
If you have any news could you drop me a line at ldarkes@yahoo.co.uk as I'm still working offshore nd don't get on here much but I do check my emails.
Currently rebuilding a VW Type 2 thats REAL rotten. Scary eh? lol
