Hi All,
I know you've heard it all before, but honestly, this time I am sure.
Around 8 years history for me and this car, including it's previous shell, mag features, show winner, Television Feature etc etc. But it has now come to an end as I have other cars now and to be honest I just don't love her anymore. She needs a new head I think.
Someone said she is the most photographed Mk1 around which is probably true.
To any new guys on here that don't know her, feel free to ask around, she's very well known.
Thread from When WUX Was In Her Original Form Was For Sale
Epic Thread From When I bought It
Thread From When I was Going To Sell It Last Year
Nurburgring Trip
Link To My Members page with lots of pics
Spec is something like this
C20LET - Coscast Head (Gone Porous??)
EDS Phase 2 chips
Courtenay Cams
3.5 bar FPR
F28
Quaiffe Diff
Spax Adjustables
Custom Champion Recaro leather Interior - Needs Headlining
17" OZ's
288mm Brakes, vented discs, Ferrodo racing pads
Custom stainless steel exhaust
Was on a rolling road at 277BHP. She's a VERY fast car.
She is in need of some love. Non runner due to head problem. I suspect it's gone porous but I haven't really investigated further.
MOT ran out in June and I haven't really driven her since last September. I fired her up in June ready to get her MOT'd, took her for a run and when I got home and was reversing her in the garage, she hissed and water poured out from the back on the engine. She had a new Head Gasket fitted last year so less than 1000 miles ago.
Change the head and she's back on the road again. Give her a polish, spruce up the interior and you've got yourself a proper head turner with blistering performance.
Price is just £2995. A stupid price but hopefully cheap enough to achieve a sale.

Ha!
When I was a kit, me and my mate who lived in Freeland both had Mk1 GTEs.
I'm in Banbury, although my current GTE is in a million pieces.
In fact my mate sold his GTE to another mate in Freeland who promptly wrapped it around a tree on that sharp bend on the way to Eynsham _________________ "A fine example of how not to build a car..."
