I have the exact same doubt, and the exact same problem. Very Happy

I´ve seen some GTE´s around the web without sunroof, and allways wondered if they were like that from factory, or the sunroofs were removed.

Well i had a good look round mine today, first time since getting it and as usual more holes in it than a teabag!! You would think 3 months undercover in the workshop and with virtually no floor pans that the carpets would be dry but still wet lol i know the underside is shot but was going to work from top down lol mainly to reduce the wet. No good having new floor pans if the roof is leaking all i will end up with is a GTE fish bowl.

And a factory glass roof which could be taken out and put in a nice bag in the boot.

Nope

I had the bag 20 years ago. The glass roof has the same tray with tubes down to the sills.

You use a coin to get the glass roof out! Smile

It's better that the metal sliding roof in my opinion.

They do come without sunroofs though, they were always optional extras.

Can you post a pic?

Do you mean a spoiler on the back of the roof above the boot lid?

If so, no. Maybe SR. models had that.

It's not standard but could well have come from the dealer like that.

My white one had a quick steering rack, a quick shift and a rubber spoiler at the bottom of the rear windscreen from the dealer... Which rubbed the paint off the quarter panels laughing

That rust on the rear quarter is a weird place to go...

Looks good though, is it original polar white? Looks very white in the pic...
