Hi all, I am new to the forum and new to the mk1:)
I've had c20 let and xe corsa b's for many year but always wanted a mk1 until I came across this abandoned astra mk1.
Now it came as a painted rolling shell with what the lad said to be with most of the bits to build it
Anyway the big problem I have is i have never worked on one so haven't got a clue how it gos together lol
So I am hoping you guys can show me how to go on
So here's the car
As you can see there is lots to do
I keep putting bits on but don't seem to be getting anywhere ha ha
I need to figure out where the brake lines go if anyone can point me the right way
Also the fuel lines round the tank and pump area
Any help would be great thanks |

Welcome to the forum mate.
Big but missing where the bonnet shuts!
Clearly there are loads of us on here who know pretty much everything there is to know and we will help as much as we can.
However, the first job is to ebay a Haynes manual for the basics...

Stick a saab b204 in it, better than a let, cheaper and more tuneable on stock parts _________________ 1983 5dr project 1.4Ti in china blue

I'm sure the engine isn't any better but the engine management is better isn't it? _________________ "A fine example of how not to build a car..."

Only because it's newer, you can run a c20let on z20let engine management. _________________ [Click here to pay ransom to view photos] |

Back on topic, the mk1 looks nice!
For your front slam panel get a new/second hand panel cut the middle section out and make the centre part bolt in. Will be great when working on it in the future to remove the section to get the rad/intercooler out. _________________ [Click here to pay ransom to view photos] |
