Is this a known motor to anyone on here ?? Gotta be worth a bid if its a genuine GTE with a pukka log book ?? Not sure if it sat right front to back and it'd be nice to see a snap of the damage on the seat......... |

Make sure you view it and check the bulkhead throughly. If there's water ingress into the footwells it's a good sign of bulkhead rot. Inner wings rot too. |

Yeah- sometimes it's more about what the advert doesn't say than what's printed !! I've asked a load of pertinent questions only to be told to give him a ring. It's a 7 hour round trip from cheshire- that said there's folk bidding on it already !! |

I've went to see this a few months ago when a previous owner had it for sale. The guy owned a garage so was able to put it on the ramp and have a good look around.
In my opinion it's not great, it's had a LOT of welding and most panels replaced. While this might not be bad thing the quality of the welding and filler is very poor. I also couldn't make out the floor VIN number either from the top or bottom it's had that much work so couldn't confirm it was the correct shell. the carpets in both foot wells were also soaked.
I think the guy wanted £3000 at the time, I walked away. I would advise anyone bidding to go and look at it first! |

Just hope the Reg isn't a prediction as to what the new owner can expect.
Anyone want to go halves on it with me? I'll have it in the summer and you. can have it in the winter |

Yes I chuckled at the reg.
However, as mint as it looks, it's still done 98k - outside - it could still be a rot-box!
Weirdly, black ones do seem to fair better - I've read somewhere it's because black absorbs the sun's heat and they dry out quicker
I hope they get that price for it though, even though I'm in year three of my resto, Gilfy might still make a profit!
