Welcome to the forum Matthew. You have a better chance of getting a blow job off a unicorn than getting a sender unit for a GTE! Any pics of your fine machine? _________________ There's no such thing as a stupid question... Just stupid people! |

If a decent fuel sender comes up then it'll be expensive. Keep topping up your tank after 150 miles lol. As for pics, you are best uploading them to Photobucket or the likes and then linking on to the forum. If you upload them direct on to here, you might have a problem with the size limits. _________________ There's no such thing as a stupid question... Just stupid people! |

Are you sure it's a GTE tank? I might be wrong but GTE tanks might have baffles to stop fuel starvation where as lesser models didn't. Someone else might be along to confirm or deny this. It makes sense if it runs ok for the first half of a full tank but them runs funny when it can slosh around more. I know that GTE senders, have the fuel pick up running through them, whereas non GTE don't. _________________ There's no such thing as a stupid question... Just stupid people! |

I've never seen a bolt in standard fuel sender for a mk1, all other mk1 senders were twist in type I thought? _________________ 1983 5dr project 1.4Ti in china blue

This is correct. Only the GTE is bolt in. The two senders are not compatible with other fuel tanks. _________________
