Thank you very much for the comment, Not only will it be quick, but will go round corners fast as well,

when the toyota was new they were £30k and the escort cosworth £25k both being rallied at that time, it did drive spot on in its gt4 form.

All you'll be left with is a Celica floor pan if you do that laughing

I watched a little review on youtube about the GT4 vs Escort Cosworth and a alfa romeo 75 evoluzione. He said theGT4 was better than the other two but as it was too refined and the others were a bit bit more shouty, barky throw you in a ditch sort of thing, the guy liked them a bit more.

I bet your welder needs a new trigger by the time its all done laughing

I thought of that but..... ALL rot has been removed or will be removed from the van, and the toyota only arrived in the uk in 2006 from japan, so there is NO rot or welding needed on the toyota apart from joining the van to it.

Will be cracking on this week so keep watching, im determined to get this done in super quick time Wink

Im sick of stuff half done sat around, i want my fleet done smile

Full steam ahead !

I want this done as fast as we possibly can.

going to do a dry run, wire all the lights and electrics first, get everything working and then strip it down, get it dipped and painted, then get it all back together looking nice and new.

Will put some more pictures up of her up on the ramp next week.

Happy with the progress salut

Took a few pictures of the van seeing daylight, and rolling down the road for the first time today monday. A bit awkward with no steering wheel.

Will get some more pics of underneath when she is up on the ramp tommorrow.

F*cking hats off to you mate!

I put my refurbished front suspension on mine a couple of months ago so I could bring mine home. Took three years to get to that point.

I know the score with days turning into weeks, into months, then 3 years have passed big grin

Todays progress,

got some 16 gague folded into 90 degree angle 6 ft long to fabricate the sills ready for tommorrow,

I need a boss to fit the toyota, then i can put my steering wheel on.

Will be starting the frankenstein job of wiring half toyota heaters fans/electrics etc...
To Half mk1 switches and retro fitting it to suit the mk1 dash.

Will put some more pictures up.

Ive got some 16" steels which dont stick out as much, ill see how they go,

Im wanting ultra stealth !

these lovely 16" 3 spokes are dished for the width of the bulbus toyota rear quarters.

The calipers determine what i can and cant do but suprisingly some SEAT ibiza 16" steels will be perfect and cover the caliper with mm s to spare,

I can get the tyres stretched a little as well,

The bobbies love old classics round here Applause always giving a smile as they pass.
