sorry Nelson I don't have it, I got off of opel classic parts in Germany, I took loads of pictures when I stripped her, I have the GM workshop manual and access to built(Brian M) and spartly stripped(Phil-mcc) astra gte's, thanks guys.
some more work below, how hard is it to take a steering wheel off there was the whole family hanging off the bleeding thing, it wouldn't budge, so I made this, which worked a treat.
old mounting point spot welds rewelded and flattened back ready for the new wishbone mount.
check out the old to the new still to be removed from the new leg
ill jump onto the bulkhead now I really needed to get this done as it looked the worse bit and for the structure of the car.
lower bulkhead out and one wishbone mount
lower bulkhead and wishbone mounts all back in
I used the original points for the jig, I hope the car was straight to start with
Wing back on to check for correct location
Bingo
Now for the upper section, I got on from Vernon which i needed to do a few repairs to make it great.
old bit cut out and new section prepared
a couple of footery bits to make
this is where they go
trial fit

Loving the work, can't believe how quick it's coming together, especially being outside

watch this space nelson on the next stage there was no way I could continue on the driveway Scotland is extremely wet and the neighbours just like to talk, so not much work was being done.
So it was off to my mates garage to get some peace, I didn't have a trailer so I had to make the astra into a trailer.
Looking kinda sad in the garage. Now for the passenger side inner wing
Chassis leg repair
trial fit of inner wing
now for the cross member and landing panel

Thanks Nelson, im sure yours will do the job though.
checking for alignment
Still not sure about this grill and bumper now that the front end is stronger I could put the car on the spit to get to those many other bits of tin worm.
thought it was just the sill that needed sorted until you discover how many layers there are in here.
Chassis leg repair section
This next bit I wasn't looking forward too, total pain in the ass, measure 20 times cut once
Phew, now onto the other side, didn't have a full quarter for this side, it would have been easier
More rot, I thought side looked better than the other
Started to think I was getting serious with this panel

Cheers Barrie I couldn't put a price on her mate, I do know it would have to be a lot of money. Nelson thanks for staying with it, haven't been on for a while so ill put more pictures up of the passenger side rebuild, it was very footery
A wee window repair
Both door latch points were gone, didn't realise the how bad they were
this is the drivers side which was worse, the car is upside done that's why it doesn't look right, I had to make a new anchor point.
On to the rear spring mounts
Made a jig to get the spring cups in the right place
Underseal all removed, underside, all rubbed back and treated ready for epoxy primer
Starting to look good

Wow that's some great fabrication. A lot of work. I like the A frame towing method too.
