Just to give you guys an update on A79 EGX.
Still in the body shop, both sides primed and ready. Roof has been taken back to metal as a few surface rust spots were showing.
Body kit half fixed back on. Still 2 or 3 weeks more work left though
A couple of pictures taken on Friday........

Which also means I will need this...
Megasquirt, a self build fully mappable ECU to control fuel and ignition.
I'll keep you posted as I go.
Hope you enjoy the pictures
Cheers

Correct!
Its going on a XE.
But I have been reading around and have been toying with the idea of a low pressure blow through system of around 5-6 Psi.
This is al still in my head at the moment and I haven't put pen to work to produce any calculations or sketches of the install.
One idea is to produce this pressure using a mini supercharger but I need to do some calcs to see what kind of air flow I can get through it as it is suited to a 1.6?
Either way the manifold will be the same so I can get that finished first.
Cheers

Well, where do I start?
After 7 years including three moves including Aberdeen for two years I finally have a suitable garage to Finish A79EGX.
The last update I had was when the car was in the body shop. During that period a change in personal circumstances led to selling my flat and garage and relocating to Aberdeen. Therefore as soon as the Astra returned from the body shop it was moved into long term storage where it has sat since last Saturday. During this period I only saw the car once so to finally have her back in Bristol in my own garage was a special moment.
I'm really excited to pick up where I left off and hope that I can become a regular face on the forum again.
Plans are to check all the parts over and remember what work I had completed, new parts bought and give everything a good clean off!
I will update progress as I go but for now a couple of pics in her new home
I'm now located back in Bristol and would be keen to meet up with any local owners also to share knowledge from.
Regards
Marcus

Glad to see you have your account sorted. Mk1's are a labour of love. I'm glad you kept it so long and through so much. It will be worth the effort!
