I knew I'd seen the plate before, its Steve Petersons old car I assume as the pics are all over his old website which must have been reshelled because HERE its blue. Wierd. eek

The colour on the blue one looks very similar to the shell that was sold on ebay a few weeks ago for spares which was red inside and that colour blue on the outside. I must have had a reshell. IMO.

that was at the pvg show last year i think... i fitted a vavler into it for steve before he sold it... not to bad a car at all really (if its been looked after)

the member who brought it off steve was called buster and was a scottie too.

Thats my old car alright, them pictures where taken about a month after I sold the car in Mid 2004. He got it resprayed back to original carmine red. I can tell you what I know...

He replaced the 2 front wings that did not really need replacing, replaced the bonnet because it had a tiny dent that you could only see in some lights and had a little welding done to the floor pan. This guy came all the way down from Scotland to buy it and last time i was in contact with him in 2005 he said it was garaged and he was only out in it when the sun was out, so i assume he has looked after it well.

and Sultun fitted the XE engine as you can see on my website, The engine was strong.

Everything was fine when I sold it, it had 16v calipers, digi dash and electric windows but im not sure if he took them out.

I have more pictures of the car if anyone wants me to email them any.

He has put very little info about the car on ebay, I know it was taxed a few months back because i typed the Reg in the DVLA database to see if she was still out there.

The car was Solid because I had the seals welded and floor pans etc...

It was my little project for 5 years, hope someone buys from the south cause i would like to see my old Mk1 again.

I suppose i could swap My MR2 gti T-bar if he was interested but it is a mission to go all the way up to scotland. I do miss it sometimes maybe it will be mine again one day Crying or Very sad

has a lot of sentimental value to me.
