does anyone how many mk1 gte's are left, cant be many now surely.
series 1 turbos and all other old school rs marks are nice cars, ive owned some of them, yes they have a big following but a bit common i think,
when i past my test my first car was a mk1 1200 5 door painted in baby blue with black wheel trims  couldnt afford to insure a gte back then but can now  and how many are going to be left in 10 years time??? i know how hard it is to get the right bits to restore these car's panels and trim bits are hard to come by, but hey i like searching for bits that you can't get its part of the hobby and thats what keeps me going knowing that one day (next year) my car will be finished after a 4 year resto  and i cant' wait to drive it |

A few years back on my search for a decent MK1 GTE I ended up in Sunderland. I saw 3 and they were all shite. I was painted Rover Pearl purple and was a cut'n'shut.

mmm ive seen that purple one its not a proper gte its a 1200.
if you looked at 3 in sunderland 1 might have been mine,

Well last night as I was driving round a mates house I saw a black A reg GTE in south Ruislip
but as I returned about 1 am ish it had gone!
This is the only one I have ever seen around here does any body known who it is ? anybody on here
And I would like to know how many GTE are left  |

| i know of 5 up in the highlands 1 black lying in long grass, 2 red 1 on the road 1 rotten(both mine), 2 white 1 on road 1 off road under resto i think, havent seen 1 on the road for years tho. |
