Well sad as it is the astra has to go now. I bought this 1 year ago from a Mk1 enthusiast (Gary!) who carried out a great deal of servicing to the car including cam belt which is reflected in the immaculate (for a 23 year old car) running.
In the time i have had the car it has been used daily and looked after and it has never once failed to start even when left for 2 weeks while on holiday!
The only important bit of rust is pictured, on the passenger side rear valance, about the size of a 50p piece and has a small hole; however on a car this age that is pretty impressive. Also it doesn't suffer from the usual Vauxhall door bottom falling out and amazingly the arches are in very good condition!
It passed its MOT needing no work 2 weeks ago with the only recommendation being to look at the front shocks for the next one. Which I think is massively impressive for a car this old and is testament to the previous owners
Good Points
Mileage 54,000
Very good bodywork
Full Mot
Tax March 2007
Immaculate interior
Stunning retro colour!
Completely original
Surprisingly nippy, has no problem keeping up with commuting traffic
Not so Good points
As mentioned small rust hole on rear valance
Slight discoloration and pitting on roof (poss. tree sap?)
Small rust patch (10p piece) on front valance
All in all I will be sad to see this go and I really want it to go to someone who will care for it as I and the previous owners have. If you have any questions please feel free to call me on 07920499595.
Pictures on ebay but make me an offer and i may end it early
ebay item #280051746176
Cheers
