|
|
I still have for sale my 'A' reg GTE. It is a project I have been working on for many years, but due to my young family I no longer have the time to complete it. It is around 80% finished, the engine runs but requires a run out on a rolling road. The interior is very clean with original seats. Alot has been done to this car as you will see by the spec, it had a full back to metal respray in '97 when the colour was changed, it had two new front wings, and a new tailgate. It probably has covered no more than 1000 miles since this rebuild ( major engine probs with original turbo engine, hence the V6 conversion )
Spec
2.5 litre V6
Emerald ECU
K & N Air Filter
S/Steel Exhaust
Heavy Duty Clutch
F20 Gearbox
Quaiffe LSD
285 mm Vent Dics, 4 pot Wilwood Calipers
MkII Rear Disc Conversion
MkII Brake Cylinder and Servo
Spax Gas Adjustables Front and Back
Lowered Springs Front and Back
Negative Camber Bottom Arms
17" MIM Raffino alloys (no centre caps)
205/40 R17 Yokohama Tyres
Aluminium Lockable Filler Cap
Roof Aerial
Front Fog Lamps
So as you can see the spec is quite high, there is also an alarm and imobiliser fitted, as well as a pioneer stereo with 6 CD changer.
I really need to find a new home for it. I'm now looking for offers around £1250 ono, will discuss any reasonable offers around this. |

I was wondering the same thing myself. This car really is a bargain - the spec is pretty awesome! _________________

Just for everyones info the V6 is now not for sale. I've had a change of heart and decided to finish it myself.
Thanks for the interest in it.
The bonnet vents were stamped by hand by a bloke who worked from a farm shed, his line of work was rebuilding classic american cars.
One of the reasons for the change of mind was the thought of driving it round the famous nurburgring. Has anyone actually done it?
Keep you posted on how the V6 is getting on, anyway may need some tech advice along the way
Happy New Year
