Just seen this ad on AutoTrader for a MK2 Astra GTE:

It mentions V6 brakes? would these go on the MK1 and would there be much benifit over the 16v brakes?

They are a lot bigger than the 16v setup so yes, it is a worthwhile mod, you will need v6 calipers and some discs from Courtney/Regal, theese are the same as the std v6 discs but they are 4 stud to suit the astra rather than 5 stud for the Cav/Cally T/Vectra

Courtney/Regal disks are fiat coupe turbo disks

They are ovalled out slightly because the PCD is 1mm out on the Fiat ones, I think 4 x 99 rather than 4 x 100 or something like that
