Seeing as we now have the best array of MK1's that this club has ever seen, it would be awesome to see as many of them as possible in a line up for everyone to see. If you haven't got your car ready yet, GET ON WITH IT laughing

To that end, I am suggesting we get a stand at Trax Show being held on Sept 4th at Silverstone race track, Northamptonshire. Trax is a massive show with a huge of array of cars on display.
I have spoken to the organisers of the event who have said we can have our own Club Stand and admission will be halved to ÃƒÆ’Ã¢â‚¬Å¡Ãƒâ€šÃ‚Â£10 instead of the normal gate price of ÃƒÆ’Ã¢â‚¬Å¡Ãƒâ€šÃ‚Â£20.
We can even race our cars around the Grand Prix circuit for just ÃƒÆ’Ã¢â‚¬Å¡Ãƒâ€šÃ‚Â£25!!! Now that's gotta be worth a go!
There is no camping available on site, but they do have a neighbouring Country Club that I have spoken to and they can offer us pitches for ÃƒÆ’Ã¢â‚¬Å¡Ãƒâ€šÃ‚Â£12.50 each and we'll get direct access to the circuit. The site offers a restaurant, bar and shower and toilet facilities.

Pleas get your names down if you want to be a part of the event and show your MK1 off to everyone. Can you also indicate if you want a camping permit and if you want to go around the GP circuit. big grin

Trax is a very good show, loads of clubs there and track action to watch all day.

Im definately up for this although mine might have to be as a work in progress! Might be good to see what sort of condition some of the cars have been brought from though.

Ill have some of the work done by then though.

How do we go about booking and paying Lee? I have just looked at the website and it wants to charge me ÃƒÆ’Ã¢â‚¬Å¡Ãƒâ€šÃ‚Â£15 for a ticket.

Oh I am also doing the Sprint as well to get me a 0-60 time on paper....

Once we've got a good list of names, you can pay the club and we'll pay as a lump sum to get the discount.
