Yup know that one all too well, not expensive but a bit of a pain to find the parts that'll work, maybe easier to fit a Mk2 item
cez wrote: | 2.rear wiper desnt want to work.. |
possibly relay, easy fix if you can get one
cez wrote: | 3.some interior trim missing.. |
someone will have these, depending what they are
cez wrote: | 4. Headlining knackered, need new one |
Bain of my existence this, not cheap, not easy
cez wrote: | 5.sunroof hanlde falls off |
New one on me but fair nuff, is it metal or glass sunroof?
cez wrote: | 6.bonnet release is lying on pasengers footwell.. |
dead easy to fix, depends if the bonnet pull has stretched a bit in which case leave it where it is, saves agonizing yoga sessions trying to open the bloody thing

well done glad you made it.
shame you didn't pop by could of tightened that alternator for you and probably fixed the rest and let you take missing trim not like i aint got enough bits hanging around
rear wiper check the contact plates ie 3 round penny sized discs in the boot opening they corrode and loose contact, just rub them with a bid of emery cloth or similar. hopefully will do the trick.
before you change the fuel gage sender make sure all connections are good especially the earth which normally falls off
Whilst you were waiting for your train i swapped an engine in a corsa b, and stripped a head off an 1.8 cav mk3 ,far more usefull way to spend time _________________ VBOA Secretary |

Wheres the boot?! haha...seriously tho im Just starting out with cars so plain english is good , i understood the penny sized disc things!
its funny you should say about earth wires coz when we broke down we noticed that the altenator wasnt even earthed! gor blimey! we def would of poped up if we werent running so late, you know what its like, just wanted to get home and play...hence what i've been doing all day....
saw a silver mk1 down my way on thurs or fri - other than mine its the first one i've seen down ere since i was about 10! (23 now) long time, ne one know who it could be coz i dont think its local? |

saw piccys looks good on GSI fan alloys.
not sure about the steering wheel, probably got a spare GTE std one kicking around somewhere.
typical that once you buy a car you start seeing them, however as its another Mk1 its not so bad
I have a new Touran in Biscay blue, my next door neghbours daughter liked it so much she went and got the same car same colour _________________ VBOA Secretary |
