I have one but i doubt that is your problem. More likely to be a sensor than the ecu itself i think. Let us know how you get on. |

wouldn't have thought it was ecu if it will run but just rough?
Try the timing, afm, plugs, leads, ignition module, coil would think it was one of these not the ecu. _________________

Deffo not the ECU.
You still haven't replied about the Coolant temp sensor, exuptoy is spot on with the diagnosis I think.
Please try that and then report back, I am curious now..... _________________ The most hip hop mofo to ever come out of Halifax.....Jam Master Jay in d house!!! |

I had a the car cut out a fortnight ago and wouldn't restart, I found the plug had fallen off again due to a damaged socket body of the plug. (Still haven't repaired it). I have found that if I pull the plug off the car stops exactly as if I have run out of fuel. Even though it is pumping in at an alarming rate. Get it checked out Rossi. _________________

£1300 is anyone interested?
I really need to get this car sold. It still isn't working as nobody seems interested in working on it - it is dry stored. It does turn over and start but then cuts out. It's had no welding and no modifications. MOT until June 06 - no tax. |

have you checked the coolant temp sensor yet. I agree its definately NOT the ecu, 1st thing i would have done would be to have changed the leads, plugs and dizzy cap. And i agree with other people 1300 is still a steep price for a non-running car. however it is gorgeous and close to home for me!

It's had all new leads, plugs, dizzy, battery, ECU, exhaust. My intention was to do the car up and keep it as a weekend car but my circumstances have changed and unfortunately this is no longer an option.
I really need to sell this car, I will be at quite a substantial loss selling at £1300 but sadly it has to go. |

Could you list what has been checked/replaced to get it running properly? What did the garage do when you took it there?. Does the engine run smoothly before cutting out again? |

They have told me that there is nothing wrong with the engine or head gasket and they said it was probably something minor and just a process of elimination but that they hadn't got the time to check everything.
Some days it will start and run OK before cutting out and other times it cuts out immediately. |
