Ads, let me know when you are planning on doing the body welding. I'll come over.
I am just coming out of replacing everything on the camper, we're talking chssis, body panels, outriggers etc so i have been in practice so to speak.
I have my trusty old Clarke welder and will come and help where every possible. I also have a full set of body hammers and dolly's.
Actually tonight I have just had to drill out fecking 300 spot welds for the sill kit on the camper. _________________ The most hip hop mofo to ever come out of Halifax.....Jam Master Jay in d house!!! |

If your chopping out both sills at the same time, make sure the car is sitting square when you weld them back up.
The last thing you want is to find your doors wont shut because the cars twisted. _________________

That's coming on nicely Ads, I am up to my eye balls in VW at the moment but still give me a shout and I'll come over if you like dude.
I am fed up with Spot-weld drills, I can't seem to get the feckers to last more than a panel. Not as though there were many spot welds worth taking off on the camper.
Glad your making progress fella, like I say, give me a shout if you need some morale support. _________________ The most hip hop mofo to ever come out of Halifax.....Jam Master Jay in d house!!! |
