Hmm, a 16v 130 sri cav? no such thing from what I remember, the only 130s were 8v with the 130 making a return under the vectra sri. Course I could be wrong.

Either way, if it's a Mk2 keep it going, if it's a Mk3 kill it

C20XEV then. never badged ecotec, 136bhp from factory figure.

IMHO I wouldn't bother sticking it in the gte, fix it, sell it use profit for the gte.

Kill it, dump the management system, stick all the kit in a Mk1 Astra and go nuts. The Ecotec is very underrated and is starting to be proved as better than the C20XE (only discovered due to the lack of good C20XEs for decent money)

No 2.0 ecotec was ever C20XEV, it is infact X20XEV, it is not 130bhp either, a little bettewr infact in 134bhp.

very good under rated engine as most people are still shortsited in the C20XE engine.

Doh I always call it C20XEV.. dunno why.
Agreed on the ecotec potential, its the egr that strangles it and the crappy management. Did you know ecotec cams have slightly higher lift than XE ones ?.

I still say flog the cav on for profit, it'll raise a couple of hundred quid at least, use that cash on the gte and really decide what you want to do with it.
