As I'm in between daily runners right now I decided to use my 82 mk1 and its fantastic. Other than the lack of a 5th gear making motorway speeds a little buzzy it hasn't missed a beat in nearly 800 miles. After this week I will park it up for a wee rest when the diesel civic appears. Its been fun tho and brought back memories for workmates who have owned mk1's over the years. seeing Brians GTE at knockhill this year made me get my finger out and get it back on the road.

Cheers for the comments
Yeah its the orange interior ... cant find a pic of it with the seats in but heres a pic of the carpet lol
The wheels are off a 1.8 Berlinetta Manta. I have lots of spare manta bits which are no good for the Astra but I have some nice retro 4x100 wheels which will be finding there way onto the Astra next year.

Yeah I know what you mean... its very retro so people either love it or hate it!
Ive got my Winter daily driver now so I can retire the Mk1 until next year. Its could really do with 2 new wings to make it perfect. Still cant believe how quick it is for a 1.3 Even with 4 gears it sits at motorway speeds no worries. Been a fun month using it evey day!
I'll get a pic of the interior in all its orangey glory later.
