Have we been as a Club before or just individually?

I'm up for it as it looks like a pretty good show.

Here's the link to the web site:

Add your name if you want to go

yeah, we had a stand last year, its a REALLY good show, im not a massive anal Vaux fan, but do love all things retro, and this show is really good for it!
(the names gives it away i know)

So, im not sure what needs to be done to secure another stand at this years show.

But i will be going with or without the mk1 crew cuz its really good.

It's a good show, lots of quality retro cars. Last year had a full array of Group B cars as well as all the usual stuff, worth showing there

I'd be up for that if we can get a stand and I have a Mk1 to show

I've just realised that VBOA day at Billing is during the weekend of July 9th - 10th which is the weekend following Retro Cars at POD
So seeing as the events are so close together it may be difficult for people to attend both shows ( it will be for me anyway)

So, if you're undecided as to which show to attend, I would say definitely Billing. For those of you that may be new to the scene, VBOA (Vauxhall Bedford Opel Association) at Billing is probably the biggest Vauxhall meeting of the year, and is held at Billing Aquadrome over a whole weekend and is probably the largest collection of Vauxhall, Bedford and Opels in the country, with a HUGE trade area and is well worth a visit.

my intentions exactly lee i can`t do both so billing is where i`m headed m8 but i`d love to do retro cars aswell but the travelling involved is too much in such a short space of time.

But we won't be able to have a stand at billing as we're not VBOA approved as yet

For me Retro cars is more interesting as you see alot of old cars giving it plenty

However I will do some of billing as it's a great place for parts

That's true, but it won't prevent us from having an 'unofficial stand' where we can get all of our cars together.

lee steve has got a point though about retro cars as we can`t show as a club this year at billing so maybe it should be promoted more with us just gathering as club members in billing for a walk around the show and a bit of a laugh.

Billing is a huge camp site and alot of the clubs park up together and its an unofficial sort of thing because its just the cars and tents, no signs... as such.

But the actual show happens in the next field where people have official stuff going on etc.

I think that billing is over rated anyway. As you say steve it is a field with cars and tents in you have to work over peoples tents to get to see the cars, not well organised if you ask me. The next field is generally better but I only go to look for parts. Retro should be better this year as well can't wait.

Yeah, I reckon so, pukka stand and all that and a few more cars, it'll be stunning!!

Look how many people were on our stand sunday afternoon, we were very popular!!
