Here's a funny little video I made as a young teenager. A tribute to 1980's rallying and includes a couple of Astra Mk2's but I think it's fair to say the Audi quattro is the star of the show.

i missed the astras? saw a quatro, a pug 205 t16, a sierra cossy, escort cossy? the only group b astra was a mk1 400 which never made it really as the class was ditched before it was properly developed
but brings back memories of playing with my toy cars lol _________________ VBOA Secretary |

Hi Warphi at 0.28 it's the model of the Xtrac Rallycross Astra which as I understand it was what they did with the Group S Astra that was being developed to replace Group B when they were both cancelled. At 3.14 I was pushing the AC Delco Astra that I saw Andrew Wood drive in the 1986 Circuit of Ireland. This is how I remember the Group B rallies with Group A cars's mixed in and I think you may notice I gave the Group A cars a bit of a hard time ie rolling the Escort Cosworth and having the Astra cutting out. It was a fantasy so don't read too far into it _________________ SpaceKadett wrapped in fibreglass. |
