Vauxhall Astra MK1 SR.
Ultra Rare Hard to find Mk1 SR
I picked up this SR from an old boy in Oxford a few years back. She had been sat on axel stands for 10 years. I got her home and with help the restoration started. We striped the car and took of the body kit.
We cut out all the rot and welded two new sills, replaced both rear wheel arches. The floor pans and bulkhead are good. I have also replaced the to front wings.
When I picked the car up she had gte seats so, I sourced all the original ultra rare parts for the car and put her back to standard. These include – SR Recaro seats & door cards, SR alloys with center caps, etc….
The 1.6 engine was knackered, so its been replaced with the bullet proof 2.0 SEH 8v from a Cav. The fuel tank is brand new because the original was rusting from the inside out. She was sitting a bit high for my liking, so I dropped her 60mm, I still have original spring which will go with the car.
It pissed an M.O.T so my mate and me drove it to Billing last year. It was a 340 mile round trip for us, and she never missed a beat.
The car at the moment has no M.O.T or TAX. I haven’t had time to finish small jobs; she will need a washer bottle for the windscreen. The battery will need a charge. Fuel sender unit needs looking at. And a basic tidy up in the engine bay.
Please email me if you have any other questions. – You will need to trailer the car away.
Its nearly 30 years old so not concourse

Remember this car when it was for sale before a couple of years ago.
Used to drive by it when it was sat in someone's garden.
Good to see it still about _________________
