You've got a little problem, obsessive Vauxhall buying disorder. Nice car tho. Not many left that look like that.

Matt- I'm chuffed it's not blue, if this fell through I was going to go for the blue one on Ebay lol

Bighed- I think I'm more nuttier than peanut butter

Ash- My friends run Tacla Taid (Anglesey transport museum) they've asked me not to try and compete! lol

Jon- I was thinking that myself earlier just glad I didn't have my beemer and saab in the shot. Keep telling myself "must stop buying cars" I never regret buying astras, just saabs and beemers! lol

I've been waiting for a 3dr hatch for a while now. It was worth the wait. Good luck in your search.

Are you trying to make me sick????

Any way... new car, new thread.

I've been thinking about getting a 3dr hatch for a while to make myself a GTE rep and after Mark1 took me for a spin in his red one at the Shropshire show in April, the seed was firmly planted.
When Sharpy's Astra came up for sale I knew I wanted it for my project, so deal was struck and Dylkadett and myself went on a road trip.

The plan was to strip the orangy goodness of an interior and put it all including the dash into the Minx. I was chomping at the bit to strip it all down and start project lil red the slutty red GTE but I need to make some space in the garage by finishing/selling Beemer or moving a lot of stuff around to try and fit three cars in there.

The car came with full service history

original receipts

and a load of brochures that Sharpy had collected.

So I went out this morning to strip it down and ended up sitting in it for an hour and decided it would be a crying shame to rip this little car apart to make a GTE. I love the colour and have decided to put it back to original spec except I'm going to put a five speed box in it.

First job, off with the bumper

Second job, change to original indicators

Third job, stand back and admire the standard again front end smile It feels weird put standard parts on a car for a change. laughing

When I walked in the house after finishing I had a warm glow in my body like when you help an old lady carry some shopping. It just feels like I'm doing the right thing laughing
