Found another colour and really like it. Its classed as green too so I wouldnt need to change the log book.

The laquer I bought is absolute crap but you can still tell the dififference between the wing and the front door.

Looking forward to getting my Spax 80mm kit big grin

Honestly have a look at a colour the mk1 came out the factory with called silver green. It's absolutely stunning in modern paint and looks awesome with a beige interior.

It doesn't look bad mate but not really what I'm after.

No real updates other than I decided to get the GTE front seats spruced up because they were quite rusty. Stripped the bases and has them powder coated satin black. Very happy with the results but would like some new bolsters for the drivers seat before putting it back together

Oh and have fitted my new Opel badges to the back and removed the rear wiper and 1300 badge

Today my new inner wings turned up.

So far the parts I've collected are
- 2 x rear corners
- 2 x rear arch repairs (inner & outer)
- 2 x inner wings
- 2 x outer wings
- new front screen seal
- clear front indicators

At the moment I'm not sure whether I'm going to need a front panel or not. The lower half looks fine but the top section looks a bit scabby.

Awesome!

Will you drilling your nice inner wing for the aerial wire!? No, me neither!

Are you going to replace the entire inner wings or use them to patch?

Getting the old inner wings out properly is a nightmare.

To be honest I'm not really sure yet. Mine have a few holes & some areas that have been patched already so when I saw them on eBay I thought it would be a good idea to get them.
Also sold a couple of custom vw engine mounts & bought a couple of sills with the cash & they arrived today (Klokkerholm)

Yes it is!

Their floor pan are really accurate but you can't get them any more which is a shame.

Just a small update. I thought I'd have a go at repairing the drivers side rear arch.
Needless to say I've found she's not in as goo a nick as I thought. I may well go from novice to expert welder by the time she's finished eek

I've warped it a little but nothing major so she'll not need loads of filler.

The inner arch is tacked in but going to be a right pain & the sill is shot
