First of all you need a turbo clutch, and either a 16 valve or a turbo flywheel. The box bolts straight on to the engine, but both the rear and front arent that straight forward.
The back one first, only two bolts can be used here (unless you tap some threads into the casing) I used two 8mm threaded bolts, one has a thread in the box, and the other has to be a nut and bolt setup.
The front one, I used a mk2 astra gte gearbox mount which bolts to the chassis rail, this fits perfect upto the mk1 rail, and can be bolted (with a lot of work) i welded the mount straight to it, job done I thought!!
The next problem is the gear linkage. You have to shorten the linkage by two inches, cut a new groove down it (as you will have cut the old groove off) The next bit is setting it up which is just trial and error.
The last problem you will encounter is you need to make a plate up for the driveshaft oil seal, I used the five-bolt-flange out of the F16 box, which incorporates the bearing race for the diff, this race is not neede for the F28 so you must cut off the race right back to the face of the flange, this must be perfectly flat, (I used a straight edge, emery cloth, WD40 and a lot of patience), this will stop the oil leaking out of the box, however there will be some up and down movement in the shaft, what you need is a bush made up to fit around the shaft and inside the other set of splines in the box, tricky this bit. You can probably buy this blanking plate as a kit (2WD Conversion kit) from Courtenay Turbo or Regal.
