I really take my hat off to people that get this deep into restoring a car. Fair play to you. |

Do you mind sharing your story mate? My gte was a rust bucket, but I am working on it because it also has sentimental value, when I was 18 and had just passed my drivers exam, my older brother gave me the car. Now I canīt get rid of it, and love it to bits for that reason and the memories. |

i was looking for a nova when i was 13 and my granddad (sadly passed away) said he'd find me one but after a few weeks he called my parents and said i had to be taken up to stoke as he had a car for me but it wasn't a nova but was still a Vauxhall my dad arranged with a now ex uncle to take me to collect the car and my parents explain what car it was we fetched the car on the Saturday the car was hidden in 1 ft deep grass and full of canal boat stuff to go onto my granddads boat. we drove it home as it had a weeks tax and 3 weeks mot. but being 13 and at school the car was garaged and a few bits done but not to perfection since 25 ive been hunting down parts to get it back to perfection but with parts getting rare it wasn't till now ive managed to make the cash to get everything the car needs so it can be on the road again after a long time hiding. it wasn't until a few years back i realized my granddad actually picked me up in the car to go to my other granddads grave stone fitting so the car has a few memories for me and i'll never sell it no matter the cost or how hard it is to get parts. its taken from age 13 to now age 31 to get the parts as at 15 i became a dad so all money went on my 1st daughter so the car got garaged in a stripped state until now _________________ keep it old skool |
