Nah, still hasn't arrived..... Sad

I really wanted it all sorted, but to be honest, I don't see how the hell I could run more power through the fronts as it is.

Bloody frightening, in a nice way... eek big grin

I am bringing a spare set of driveshafts with me.....that surface is well tacky at pod, somethings going to go...laughing

I am just throwing things in the back of the car at the moment.

I'm not going to bother with a gazeebo, I can only just be arsed to put up a tent, let alone a giant 12' x 12' x 12' gazeebo.

I'll forget something, I've too much to do in such a short space of time now...

Just got back from Pod. It was another good show with some stonking retro motors on display.
Another good turn out by the MK1OC as well, 11 cars I think big grin
I'll get some pic's up later

Jay can you tell how his car nearly didn't make it on to the stand...again eek eek

And Steve can tell you how his car and mine were filmed for a forthcoming series by Men & Motors big grin big grin

Here's some more

We entered Tom's minter into the best car competition, here's his car plus some of his opposition:

And here is the winner, but god knows why!!

Maybe this helped sway the decision!!

Mmm well, nearly didn't make it again as Lee said.

I'll not go into detail about how it came about but a certain someone decided to take my car on a night time cruise and in doing so managed to render it somewhat incapacitated and left outside the show ground all on it's lonesome Shocked Shocked

In fact talking to a few people in the show, it was probably the most famous car there, everybody knew of the dead Mk1 it seems!!! ) mad

Anyhow the problem was temp fixed (big yay to Sultan, Ste and Jacko for coming out to help and to the rest of the club for sorting my camping shite out), only to leave me with a semi drivable car. Most people would have left it there and wouldn't have dreamed of going up the strip.

Oh no, even though it sounded like metal being cut on a lathe, I still gave it mega-death down the strip.....(not very happy with times but seeing as I was running 5psi of boost, I suppose 14.7 isn't too bad) I have inherited a boost leak somewhere it seems, or someones nicked it, Tom have you got 10psi of my boost anywhere seeing as yours suddenly jumps to 206bhp laughing

Anyhow, it made 3 runs. Cool I thought. Wrong.

On the way home going up the M1, the in-gearbox lathe had finished it's cutting and in doing so ejected it's piece of metal stright out the back of the bellhousing, causing me to loose all but a thimblefull of transmission fluid.

Still I'm home, didn't need recovery, the F20 managed to get me the last 100 miles running on luck and a prayer.

The only annoying thing was I had all the Laxpooer boys departing from Birmingham and razzing past me with there 6" quad exhusts on. I so wanted to give 'em some old school, but between 60-70 was my limit due to the fact that fith gear might have tried to weld itself to the drivegear, not good at 100mph I wouldn't have thought.

Cracking show, some stonking publicity and even the weather turned out nice in the end. Give yourselves a pat on the back and a glass of cider/wine and Blackcurrant for a job well done. Bottoms up!! ;
