Hi all purchased a red 16sr at auction last year the car is original apart from 2 after market wings painted badly . Ian thinking of sorting it just bugs me,my dilema is should I do a totally restoration or just the wings as the rest of car is not bad what do you all think thanks Nick |

Depends how deep your pockets are, unfortunately mk1s are good at hiding rust so the deeper you delve the more youll find. _________________

Hi Nick. If you are seeking originality and economy then perhaps consider stalling the patina with something like Dinitrol and just dealing with the unacceptables. You will still get as much interest, but from less investment. Would love to know a little more about this car. I've got a GTE but the SR is much rarer and it will be interesting to see where values go in the next few years... _________________ JimD |
