1. Title
The title shall be the MK1 Astra Owners Club hereafter referred to as the MK1OC.
2. Club Contact Address
The post, telephone and email contact for general matters is that of the secretary.
3. Objectives of the Club
- To further interest in the preservation, history and active use of MK1 Astra's
- To provide benefits for members, including discounts etc.
- To maintain sufficient funds to cover the general administration of the club
- To promote and actively present at major car shows
- To organise events for club members
- To provide a online and offline community for MK1 Astra owners
4. Management Meetings
Meetings between the club management will be held on a quarterly basis. Each meeting will have a pre-determined agenda which will include any issues arising from the last quarter and will review progress of points of actions from previous meetings.
5. Annual General Meeting
This will be held yearly in either March or April between the club managers and any other invited club members. The managers will present reports covering the previous year's activities.
6. Records
All meetings will be recorded by minute taking and will be prepared and distributed within 2 weeks of the meeting to all parties concerned by either email or post.
Agendas for meetings will be sent out 2 weeks prior to any meeting, again by post or email.
7. Finance
- The MK1OC is a non-profit organisation except for maintaining a level of funds sufficient to cover the clubs activities.
- No-one may profit from MK1OC activities without full club approval.
- Secretary to be able to provide an approximate balance at club meetings.
- Secretary to keep records of income and expenditure and to present accounts at the AGM
8. Liability
All vehicles, including static and immobilised exhibits, attending MK1OC events must have the relevant valid insurance, tax, MOT etc. covering the vehicle, exhibit, driver(s) and minder(s).
9. Insurance Cover
MK1OC events will have public liability insurance cover.
10. Member Conduct
If any member is deemed by the club management to have brought the MK1OC into disrepute, a formal written warning will be issued with a time and place to respond to the allegations when a management vote will be taken on the matter.
Examples of inappropriate behaviour include: -
- Personal attacks or abusive online posts or communication in general
- Use of excessive or inappropriate profanity
If the defence is inadequate or not forthcoming the club reserves the right to repeat the letter/meeting process or to terminate that member's membership of the MK1OC. _________________ 4x4 Turbo MK1 Astra - may actually be finished this year!
