Mk1's dont happen to have a brake bias valve system do they?
My back end (well one side of it) has a habbit of locking up .... any suggestions or should a just give them a good strip down and clean?

Yeah it's split front left to rear right etc. Def try stripping it down and see what's what |

they have brake limiting valves connected to the outlet to the rear brakes on the master cylinder.
you may have a problem with one of those.
but i would give them a good service first. |

i got the same prob stu - done complete caliper strip & new rear cylinders 4 drums, good clean up & bled 3 times & still locking up so im after a master cylinder next and the valves - let u know how it is when ive got the stuff & fitted it... |

yeh that'd be good - i just found master cyl. on ebay but its got aweek to go b4 auction ends, just got to find some balance valves - had some from scrapper but didnt help - u cant be sure with old stuff. |

is that £70 for the valves ? someone told me to take the ball bearings out of them but i didnt see any in there when i removed them & besides thought it was dodgy advice. |
