Retro Car Show

As most of you are probably aware, Retro Crs magazine has been dropped by Future Publishing and so therefore has the Retro Cars Show at Pod that happens each summer.

I read this post on another forum from Santa Pod themselves as they are planning to still host the show but without the backing of a publisher.
Good news I reckon.

Admin - might be worth you contacting Pod direct to register our interest. I have requested an email address from them so will pass it on when I get it

The other problem is that the date they have chosen clashes with Billing

Bit wierd that one. Could always pop down to pod for a while then back to billing also its on a saturday. Which is odd for a show.

Just checked their calendar and its a RWYB day and the 8th is the GTI Festival

Santa Pod are putting a Retro Car Show of their own on now

It is on Sat July 7th which is Billing weekend. I'll be en route to Turin in a Ãƒâ€šÃ‚Â£200 MK1 1300S so unfortunately I won't be attending either event. I don't know about you but I would much rather be going along to this show for the day instead of being parked up on a camp site with a load of old duffers!! Maybe MK1OC can do both??

It's a sturday, not gonna be that great is it? Although if I do go then I'd stay on to see some retro machines show the dub boys how its done

Retro cars puled out of the show last year, it was run by classic car in the end...Are they up to anything this year?

Retro was pretty good last year I thought, although a touch toasty on the weather side, some people would have lost a few bhp through that......... laughing

I'm gonna go to this one on the Saturday, probably camp over on Friday night and then drive the couple of miles to Billing late afternoon, be there for Saturday night camping, boozing etc, then spend the Sunday 'doing' Billing.
Sounds like a great weekend plan to me big grin

Anyone else fancy it?

Remember though mate if it's pissing down in Bognor, it could be dry 100 miles away at POD.
