Might be me, mate! I live in Tadley (right between Newbury, Basingstoke and Reading - used to live in Thatcham until about 3 yrs ago btw). My Mk1 is stored near Reading at my parents' house.
You'd be welcome to drive it normally but it has no tax or MOT at the mo! _________________ Ben

LOL, pint owed, cheers! Yep that's the one.
Allbelly, guess where I live...a small cul-de-sac off Franklin Avenue, near the doctor's surgery and fire station. Bizarre! I grew up in Pamber Heath.
The GTE is red and doesn't need much for an MOT, I've been lazy that's all! Just needs a windscreen, horn and the rear lights need earthing properly.

Certainly true!
I was thinking about selling mine, but assumed I wouldn't get much for it even with a full MOT, so kind of forgot about it really. _________________ Ben

I'm going cheaper than that at the moment, 2 pints of Stella and 10 fags will do it. _________________ The most hip hop mofo to ever come out of Halifax.....Jam Master Jay in d house!!! |

Not too sure mate. I'd rather keep it at this stage, but you'll be the second to know if that changes (a mate asked for first refusal ages ago )
And going back to your first post, if you still want to see one in the metal then feel free to pop over sometime, would be good to meet another member! _________________ Ben

i owned her back in 1989.
purchased her from Calcot reading 48,000 mile absolute minter
i was the envy of most of my mates.
i paid 3,800 for her but she was worth every penny.
sadly 9 days later i was traveling up through brimpton (just by the school)
when i met a 35 tonne bulker lorry on myside of the road.....
neadless to say i was lucky to walk away unhurt. sadly the GTE didnt make it..............................or so i thought. i couldnt belive it when i joined this website last week and descovered that she had been given a new lease of life.
i really would like to see her again but unfortunatly cant make it to santa pod this weekend.
cheers allbelly |
