right lets see if these GTEs are still alive and kicking? as i used to own 2 of them and my mate owned the other......

A150 YMO 1983 'A' plate black Astra GTE

ORP 636 Y 1983 'Y' plate red Astra GTE

A145 MEA 1984 'A' plate red Astra GTE

i know ORP 636 Y is still alive and kicking and is owned by Matt in Birmingham. but does any one know of any information on the other 2

I owned A145MEA a few years ago, i bought it for ÃƒÆ’Ã¢â‚¬Å¡Ãƒâ€šÃ‚Â£100 from somwhere around Taunton if i remember. I put an MOT on it & floged it to my mate who had it re sprayed in a blue colour. he then took a sierra out with it! He sold it on as a runner so it may still be alive. I have a few pics of it somwhere......

wow,

i sold it to a guy in basingstoke in 1993....

it had 298,000 on the clock but was hell of a car. i had changed the gearbox to a low ratio so it was lightning of the lights but lacked a bit on top end.
i used to service her every 6,000 mile so the engine was in top notce condition.

only sold her because i purchased an SRI 130

there are pics of her on here some were?
i cant remeber were they are though.
this is why i have joined this club as i would love to see her again.
i know she will be at pod this weekend but i cant make it.

The clock said 149,000, so must have had a new set in. I remember the gearbox sounding a bit harsh & could have done with replacing. the bonnet was poorly painted. I did most of the work when i had it. i also put a sill on. i have the pics here, ill scan em & post them up in a min

getting back to A145 MEA sean, did it still have the SR rear roof spoiler on her????

took me ages to put that on straight.....

Yes she still had it, i wondered if it was genuine gte at first because the spoiler looked factory! but it was, under the carpets had gte in factory sprawl..... Here she is with my fleet back then, must be about 5/6 years ago thinking about it......

did you take off the towbar???

i got some pics off her in her prime years , just need to workout how to scan them up on here.

i also got some pics of ORP but need to speak to matt first to see if he wants them posted as they are of when she was in an accident.
