Well, another event done and a huge amount of fun had by all, especially those who were camping.
As well as having lager, there was wine (a white pinot, bought by Jay), cider and blackcurrent which ended up getting mixed together in a wonderful combo downed by Jay, Sultan n myself. It was evil!
The Mk1 Owners Club managed to do a first as well... the first takeaway delivered to the front gate of Pod in the 12 years the security guy had been there. It was an indian which Jay could barely eat, he managed to get it on the ground, the side of the wine bottle and on his jeans, making him look like he'd had the runs the next morning.
Ok, so to the day and Men n Motors get Lees and my car in for a couple of minutes of fame, the presenter was the fat bloke that used to be on top gear and got a load of details wrong. But anyway, lot of interest for the cars all round, and whilst Toms car may not have won it did get more people looking around it than any other.
C'mon, get to a show and have a seriously laugh |

Couple of hightlights....
Tom's car looking spankingly bling and hitting some nice power now (206bhp on a 1.8!!!)
Chunks car being RR'ed at 190 bhp, N/A...sounded fooking sweet as it roared up to revs.
Men and Motors filming our Marques.
Curry and beer (cider and wine with black is the new show standard cocktail of choice)
My car being killed twice within 24 hrs
Jacko's new bird, Bessy the Poddington sheep.
Hux hitting 16.7 dead (think this is right?) on the quarter with a standard 1.8e engine
Joanna's huge bell bottoms turned up again incase we needed a dry area to sit under.
Lee's car for being, well, just mint and getting loads of attention for the club. As Ste says, a big thank you to Lee for having the chatter that matters on the phone and managing to get the curry delivered to the gate, a first in 12 years !!!
There's loads more stuff to add but I'm really tired now, just had to sit at 65mph on the M1 for what seemed like a decade. _________________ The most hip hop mofo to ever come out of Halifax.....Jam Master Jay in d house!!! |

Just, we did a further 40 miles after seeing you at the Tesco's filling station, so I was only 10 miles out on my 'It's gonna blow' guess. _________________ The most hip hop mofo to ever come out of Halifax.....Jam Master Jay in d house!!! |
