i just thought someone may be interested in my take on the Mk 1: there's a small album of pics at http://s255.photobucket.com/albums/hh129/ade55/astra%20estate/?albumview=slideshow as i couln't figure out how to attach the pics (crap with a keyboard, not too bad with a spanner).
The car's got no rust...kept in old gals garage for ages....and i've had it sprayed green, as i can't stand red....& its a 1.6. The rear quarter bumpers are off an Escort van.
(I've also got another one owner rust free 5 door awaiting an engine swap/respray etc....the wife doesn't know yet, but its for her)....Ade
