A few 4x4s but never seen a mk1 RWD.
I've seen a mk3 project thread for RWD. Pretty much used the whole floor from a cally turbo. Big tunnel etc.
Didn't see anything on how they fitted a longitudinal engine though, or what it was.
IIRC they used the diff from a lotus carlton. _________________ "A fine example of how not to build a car..."

Have seen a few Rwd of other vauxhall models but none are quite as nice as a mint Mk 1.
I did have a 1.1 in yellow, which I stored in Cambridge. Might have sold it to someone on here! Think it sold for £310!?
Will post up a video of a mk2 escort which gave us the inspiration to build a mk1 Rwd. |

Riding in a standard bike in a straight line isn't really anything to brag about
Did the bulkhead have sound deadening on ? I'd be suspect... |

Really?
So why did I beat all but a 1400cc busa with extended swing arm, soft rear tyre and strapped front forks ( and only by 2 10ths) one February morning?
Bearing in mind we rode there, they drove in their transit van workshops??? _________________ "A fine example of how not to build a car..."

Second video is quite clear! It's a 9 second ford with a vauxhall lump, might go to ford fair just to see the reactions! |

HERE
I've seen three or four RWD MK1's over the years, at least two rally ones. _________________

That's awesome.
Sorts out the issue of a knackered bulkhead. _________________ "A fine example of how not to build a car..."
