Ive got some 5mm ones on the rear just to make the stance a bit wider.
Remember you'll need longer bolts if your going thicker. _________________

I have 5 mm universal on the front to help my wheels clear the brake springs. I'd say don't bother unless you get hubsentric ones. _________________ There's no such thing as a stupid question... Just stupid people! |

Hubcentric ones fit perfectly on the center spiggot of the hub whereas universals just have a big hole for clearance meaning their a pain to line up the holes.
They also extend the center spiggot in most cases.
Remember the majority of the load on the wheel goes through that spiggot so when you put a spacer in there your relying more and more on the bolts to take that load anything over about 8mm will mean your no longer on this spiggot and just hoping that 4 bolts will hold your wheel central and absorb massive amounts of load when hitting bumps etc. _________________

No point then lol. Wonder how all the dub boys get the stance. Obviously wider wheels but some use massive spacers.
Just dangerous? |

If not done properly then yes quite a few of them are accidents waiting to happen tbh.
but if done properly there should be no problem, it's just a lot of people seem to put fashion over safety. _________________

You are also putting added strain on your wheel barings when you put spacers on. _________________ There's no such thing as a stupid question... Just stupid people! |

What you looking to achieve?
You can get spacers for just about any standard fitment and then spacer/adaptors to change the PCD.
I have seen 750mm spacers run on a car, which where custom made and on a car that took some serious abuse. _________________
