hi, I will shortly be making a start on re-commissioning a celebrity I bought last year. One of the bits I havent managed to find yet is a decent drivers seat. The back bolster has rubbed through badly on this on. I am a realist so i know I arent going to find a minter, but one better than this would be good or some material from one I could use to repair it with would be appreciated if anyone could help.
I can post a pic tomorrow if that will help identify the pattern.
Cheers Mark |

From what i remember, the pattern on these seats weren't just dedicated to celebs only, so there may just be a set crop up or even the material for re-covering.. _________________

I'm ever hopeful! You have to be. Maybe someone on here will have something hidden away. Otherwise, Billing here we come!
I'll post some pics when I make a start. You'll probably all know the car anyway. It just needs some general tidying and lowered suspension taking off etc. Just a bit too hard for my ageing back. |

Yes,thats the one. Seems a fairly solid car. I've seen pics of the work its had done in the past and all that is still good. The main bits at the moment are a rear valance, osr arch tidying and a bit of rust on the tailgate and a new petrol tank. Plus sorting the suspension and taking the big-bore exhaust off.
Probably enough, but I couldnt let the opportunity to own it pass.

going to be getting her into a body shop this summer to get those sorted out along with a ding where i caught the front spoiler on a bloody tree stump on my mums front garden... no major damage, but a little more than I can bend back into shape with only a hammer and a bit of wood
she'll be fine
running smoothly still but needs a new clutch bearing at some point soon (probably before the MOT)
might be looking to sell her if you're interested deadeye, pm me if you want |

This might give you an idea as to whether I am interested: http://www.mk1oc.com/forum/viewtopic.php?t=16119&highlight=gilfy+restoration+starts _________________ "A fine example of how not to build a car..."
