17's with a 50 drop works on mine, just make sure your offset is close to ET49

I have 17 with a 40mm drop works fine with no rubbing.

The new bmw mini has a PCD of 4x100 and ET49 so fit straight on.
You'll more than likely need spigot rings though.

When I said too big, I meant I think they look too big for a mk1 not that they don't fit, just incase my original post is mis leading.

The green one has 17's with a 60mm drop. Rubs a fair amount but it has old shocks and balloon tires. They look ok but 15's are prime for handling.

And after actually reading your last reply..! yes, they can look a bit big.. my panzer for instance looks a bit like a rusty hot wheels car...

Now i have a set of 15s tsw as i cannot afford spending 500-600 Euros for 4 new 205-45-17s....

Also went through the build diary of Rey and the 17's only stayed on a short time as they looked too big.
