|
|
Hello i have a MK1 Astra GTE for sale as spares or repair.
Completely rotten would require a new shell as it has been out in the elements for probably 15 to 20 years. I was given the car by my next door neighbour 5 years ago as he was leaving to go down south to England and just didn’t have the room for it anymore. He never gave me a log book and I don’t think there are any keys anymore.
The shell is completely rotten to the point that the rear quarters flaps in the wind and the driver seat has fallen through the floor under its own weight. The doors and boot look very solid no real rust showing through at all. The bonnet looks salvageable and all the running gear seems to be present apart from a distributor cap and leads. At some point rats have been living in the car so the wiring may be past its best. The interior is all present but it would obviously need refurbished. From memory there is 5 original gte wheels in good condition, the glass is all present with the rear pop out vented windows. The full gte body kit is also present may need a few clips repaired.
As far as I can see the car is as it was when it was parked up, I remember my neighbour saying he used to run up and down to Newcastle in it for a while until his company gave him a company car then it was parked up and forgotten about.
I need to get rid of the car as I have no interest in it and its killing my mother’s “expensive plants” and grass so it has to go im looking for £300 pound for the whole car. I don’t want to brake the car as it would be too much hassle for me.
The car is located in the Highlands of scotland about 10 miles from Nairn.

f#@k me, that is one sad GTE!
I'd have it off you in a heart beat if you weren't 400 miles away!
Have you got any way of delivering? _________________ "A fine example of how not to build a car..."

Well for a snip at 300 pound you can have the plesure to bring this classic sports car back to life 😉
My parents were talking of scrapping it, i can understand why they want it gone but i had to put it up for grabs here as i know how rare some of the parts left on it must be. So what i want is one of you guys to take it and use the parts to make one of your cars better. As im never going to have the time for it with work comitments and my other project cars. |

Is it likely to stay in one piece if you try and drag it onto a transporter? _________________ "A fine example of how not to build a car..."

Quotes coming in at £500+ so it's a no from me.
Shame as there are some bits I would really like assuming they weren't shagged through being damp. _________________ "A fine example of how not to build a car..."

Yeah it will pull onto a trailer or flat bed and as long as you strapped it down by the wheels it will be fine. |
