I'd like to flush the cooling system and change the coolant but I just wondered if it is possible to change the thermostat without taking the timing belt off. The Haynes manual isn't clear on it.
Also is a cool running thermostat worth trying to get.
Any information would be great

Thermostats easy to change , it's located in the housing where the top radiator hose connects ,just remove the hose and then the three 10 mm bolts that hold the housing on the stats in there ,give it a good clean before fitting the new seal and stat you don't need gasket sealer the rubber seal will be enough ,might be an idea to take off the bottom hose and stick a hose in the top and flush the radiator and block while you've got the stat out _________________ seek and ye shall find |
