Hi to all MK1OC members,
I've bought this Mk1 SR as a project over the winter months. This is the first Mk 1 I've owned since I had to scrap my 1.3SR years ago. It is quite solid for a Mk1 with the only rust that I found was on the rear O/S lower sill. Nothing to drastic that a bit of welding can't sort out.
My plan for this Mk1 is to strip it down to the bare shell and rebuild it back to show condition. I've been browsing the site for a couple of days looking for inspiration for what engine to put in it, how to lower it, what wheels to have on it etc etc..............
I'm amazed at the pictures of all your Mk1's, they are truely awsome and have given me some great ideas for my project. I will start a photo gallery as soon as I can get a garage sorted out to carry out my plans.
I hope to meet you all in the future at shows. |

Welcome to the midlands massive representin' nuff respect n all that stuff. Yup, another member to prove Mk1s belong in the middle of the country (less sea air to make them rust... something like that) |

What has this got to do with my original post???? Is the car you bought the black mk1 sr that is in the link????
If so how much did you pay for it if you don't mind me asking? as his first reserve was £900 and it didn't reach the reserve this time around _________________
